We went here for lunch, as an elderly friend of ours who lives near it wanted to try it out. As we have really liked the original Pomeroys (next door) we were quite agreeable, although we understand Little Pom's kitchen is separate from Pomeroys. The venue is very pleasant and both eclectic and rustic, and the service is fine.
But when we looked at the menu, we were not thrilled, as we had not realised it would be almost all breakfast/brunch things. I could not find a menu online; Little Pom's has a facebook page, but no website, and I could not find a menu there. At any rate, there was hardly anything I would call a truly "lunch" item. My husband and I rather quickly made up a parody of Monty Python...have this one dear, it only has a little egg in it! [Egg Egg Egg Egg Egg, Glorious Egg -- at least not Spam!] I find egg very heavy, so from my view, all the options seemed heavy. But, you may ask, were they tasty? Well, we were mixed in our assessment. Two of the party thought the ingredients good, tasty, and well prepared. But as for my choice, which was supposed to be a sandwich, I was not too impressed: it was so incredibly gooey -- the egg [which I did not particularly want] was undercooked, the white not just the yolk, while some of the bacon was a bit burnt. The very nice ciabiatta style bread was mushy due to the excess of mayonnaise rich dressing. I salvaged the meal by spotting the hot sauce on the counter, which I used to good effect.
I guess our disappointment was largely due to the limited and heavy options available. We all wanted a nap after lunch here! So maybe this is more of an ALERT! If you want a substantial Brunch, this place may suit you well, but if you are looking for something a bit lighter this is not right for you. Please, Little Pom's, include some lighter options!
