I have been here many times and love the place. The food is fantastic, the wait staff are not exactly professional but ALWAYS ALWAYS nice and eager to please. After all, they work in the presence of a truly great chef.
27/8/8, we were the only ones in the restaurant and it shocked me to think that they opened just for our booking - such is the dedication. It turned out to be a real treat this time I had an indepth chat with Hiro for over 30mins. A honourable, gentle master of his profession.
My scores: everything is Really Good. Its hard for me to give Excellent despite what my dining companions say. People comment on the plain surrounds, they are tidy and clean, may lack a females touch but you forget about them when the food comes out - oh the food. I honestly dont think they would mind children but they may distract you. This is a place for good food, goods wine (BYO) and good friends - they certainly made us feel that way.
I have never been more satisfied in a restaurant around the world ever.
