We called in here for a leaving lunch, we hadn't booked and despite in being fairly busy and there being 7 of us, they re-arranged the furniture and had a table ready for us in a few minutes. Although there were 7 of us, we only ordered 3 different meals - calamari, fish & chips and the burger. The calamari was a 'light' option and was still a very good size, but the amount of food you get is awesome! There were a few issues with gas for the coca-cola, but this was explained to us promptly. Definitely a great lunchtime venue!

Wellington were defending the shield, so I thought Arizona would be a good place for dinner on the way to the stadium. We were seated, ordered our food then began to wait, and wait, and wait. After 40 mins, I noticed tables that arrived after us were being fed, so asked a passing waitress what the story was and to our horror, the waitress forgot to put our order in! Needless to say, we weren't happy as the game was now starting in 35 mins, and we still hadnt gotten any food. The chefs rushed out our order (and it was obviously rushed, food was terrible), and we paid and ran. The manager gave us one of the meals free as compensation, but while a nice gesture, I would rather have had a nice, non stressed dining experience. And to make matters worse, Wgtn were terrible and we lost the shield :(

Big portions and friendly service. The hamburger had a tasty meat pattie with a hint of spice and the coffee was good. Overall a hearty no-frills lunch - good for the morning after a big night out!

We haven't dined here for quite awhile and have liked the food in the past but the menu seems to have changed quite a lot and some of my favourites had gone. In the end my husband ordered the Chilli Con Carne Nachos and I ordered the Calamari and we shared a bowl of fries. I am very glad we ordered the fries as my meal was very small. It consisted of 5 very small strips of calamari that were in a tasty but alas very soggy bread crumb. It also had the saddest looking salad next to it which was very small but that's okay because it wasn't tasty. My husband's nachos and the chips were very nice which is the only reason I didn't rate the food lower. The table we were seated at was right in the way of the service route so we were grateful there were only 2 of us at a table that seated 4 as we had to squeeze to the sides of the table to avoid being hit by the wait staff. Also - why come to take an order from a table when only 1 person is at the table? Thankfully I knew what my husband wanted to order but surely they could have waited until he returned from the bathroom? Don't think we will be rushing back to Arizona again in a hurry.

Went in at a really quiet time. To have a dessert. Came down at a quiet time on purpose so I could avoid lunch time rush. Service was wishy wash. Not at all interested - which is fine by me.
Ordered a Banana totilla with Walnut ice cream and caramel sauce. I asked for extras which were: Chocolate sauce and cream.
It looked beautiful and it tasted good until i tasted something unusual..there was cheese in the dessert!
I checked the menu and there was no mention of cheese. I checked the website when i got to work and there was no mention of cheese in that either.
I told the waitress I was not happy and was told it is supposed to have cheese in it she did not say that the menu had an error. after telling the girl i couldnt stay for another round of banana tortilla and some fluffing about I had to call the manager on his cellphone.
three hours later and me calling arizona back 3 times i got a refund. I am thankful for that.
I think it is a huge error on their part they could have at least acknowledged and apologised and not say, "well actually it is supposed to have cheese in it". If i had know there would be melted cheese in my dessert banana and tortilla with icecream I would have NOT ordered it in the first instance.

Had brunch here a few weeks ago and it was awful! I had poached eggs on toast and my husband chose the breakfast with eggs, poached. The bacon was dried up and cold, poached eggs were extremely overdone and like rubber and the so called toast were huge, thick slabs of bread that must have been whipped in and out of the toaster so fast it wasn't even singed - all served on stone-cold plates. We also ordered hot breakfast tea which turned out to be a tea bag floating in some luke warm water in a mug. Yes I know they want to give the impression of an American type bar & grill and maybe coffee is the most popular drink served but if tea is on the menu then it should be served correctly. We did complain before paying the bill and they generously didn't charge us for the tea! There are better places to have brunch further along Featherston Street where they at least know a poached egg should be served with the yolk runny and that tea is made with boiling water in a pot.

We came here for friday lunch/drinks. We were amazed at how efficient the staff were considering how busy the bar/cafe was. Friendly staff, good amount of food and great taste. Would definately recommend and come here again

Surprisingly good pub food. Good sized portions, somewhat inexpert but friendly and enthusiastic young staff. Can definitely recommend and will go back
