We went here for Light lunch. Had trim latte and iced coffee. They were alright. The coffee beans were probably not my fav. For lunch we had the Mexican srambled eggs with chorizo , capsicum, jalapeņo and onion along with tomato salsaon toast. It was quite nice, slightly spicy and flavourful. The service was alright and staff were reasonably friendly. But the food is a bit pricy for the quantity you get.
We've been to Felix a few times, the food is always good, and it's reasonable value. The hash brown is huge, though it's more of a potato cake. The huevos rancheros is really good, especially with some added cheese, and my partner seemed happy with her bacon and eggs.
My main gripe with Felix is it's always dead cold in winter. The waiters look warm enough, running around wearing just t-shirts, but many of the customers were wearing coats. When I asked for a heater to be turned on the waiter tried to do it, but the heaters at either end of the cafe are quite close to tables, and the people asked them not to turn them on. It seems to me they need one of those industrial heat pump type things up on the ceiling, and self closing doors as people leave them open even in the middle of winter.
I will go back, but probably not until the weather warms up.
