This cafe is AWESOME! Took my sister here to celebrate (in a low key way) her 30th birthday yesterday. Food was amazing, coffee was brilliant, the team were lovely. Its always been a favourite cafe and going there yesterday confirmed they are FANTASTIC!
Forget what Target said, Cafe Cezanne is choice. Well done.

Shifted from Auckland 8 years ago but this is the first place I eat at on any visit back . Fish chowder was my favorite . am writing to express my shock at what you must be feeling after the shabby treatment by that TV program . wishing you all the best

It's true. Cezanne has changed hands - let the joyous news be spread! I knew I wasn't in Kansas anymore when the charming girl behind the counter SPOKE, SMILED and even said THANK YOU! Then my hands didn't stick to the dirty table cos the table was clean. Then I noticed the floor and that was clean, and the counter was clean, and the cabinets were clean, even the kitchen staff looked clean.
But gee, I'm sure gonna miss that surly waitress who had a permanent bad hair day - and night. Bet she will be highly sought after in the hospitality trade - NOT.
Might be temped to eat something in the way of a meal rather than just popping in for coffee and cake just because its open in the evenings and the coffee is decent and the cakes are awesome!
