I ordered BLAT. The bread was just sliced bread, the sort you buy from the dairy, and not very nice. The filling was good, but the poor quality of the bread overpowered it. Staff knew about dairy free food, which was appreciated.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the environment clean with a pleasant rural outlook.

A nice place to stop if you're in Kumeu. The outlook is restful, with the cafe overlooking an orchard, where chickens and other birds wander about. The cafe was very busy when we visited today (Sunday). There is a range of counter food and meals - the pies and rolls are tasty. I shared a very large piece of sponge and meringue cake filled with berries and cream - it was delicious! The coffee is very good and the service is friendly.
