I took my two adult children there for a birthday meal last week. This is my 3rd visit and must say it did not disappoint, yet again. The service was very good. My son asked particular questions about dishes and the waitress was very helpful with her advice. The food was delicious, we each chose very different mains and they were all faultless. The decor is very clean, white and crisp, not typical of thai restaurants. Its also BYO so it makes it very reasonable for dining out. Highly recommend for a good priced, excellent quality thai restaurant. Toilets spotless too!

We lunched at the Khun Pun on Thursday it being a special occasion. What surprised us was the starkness of the place. Every Thai restaurant we have been in previously there had been no doubt that it was Thai due to the decoration. Only the staff and menus gave that away. We had to ask for the heater to be switched up and it got warmer quickly. Water was delivered straight away and our order for drinks came quickly. We order a mixed entree consisting of spring roll, curry puff, chicken satay and a kanom pang na gai (whatever that was). My wife didn’t like the latter but I ate it anyway. For mains we both chose sweet and sour. My wife had chicken and I had pork. One advantage of Thai sweet and sour is that it isn’t done in batter. When it is battered (as chinese S & S is) one cannot see what one is eating and the batter can be quite thick. The meal was very nice and when we could eat no more the attentive waitress asked us if we wanted to take the rest home which she boxed up for us. Priced right for a lunch. Like the rest of the restaurant the toilets were spotless. Will definitely be back.

We tried Panang Curry, Stir fried chicken with basil leaves and mixed entree for dinner. Food was good, especially liked the entree - Deep fried minced chicken on toast. Service was friendly and efficient, was asked if we needed anything a couple of times and if were enjoying our meal. I had expected the food to be quite hot, as we had asked for Thai hot, but it was milder than the Thai hot I am used to (maybe it's just me!). I would definitely go there again and try some of the other dishes as the prices are quite reasonable.

Been wanting to come here for a long time - super friendly good service - curry puffs great, vege coconut soup not hot enough and had to send to be heated more - lack depth of flavour and basically veges in mild coconut cream. Main beef curry great - but bamboo tofu vege curry not that happy with - tomatoes and tofu did not taste fresh and did not eat them - again tempeture could have been hotter of the food. Basic but good wine list - really reasonbable priced - maybe come again but choose different dishes - but then again I think there is better around.

We go here a lot as its handy to both home and work. A reliable Thai and the staff are really friendly. The food is consistently good and what you ask for is what you get.
