My sister and I decided to go for a lunch and this place was suggested...We arrived and it looked fairly busy with most of the tables being used and a lady called out she would be with us shortly. Another couple of girls came out to the counter looked at us and disappeared again! We were asked if we had booked and when we said no was told we couldn't sit outside unless we had a picnic table...fine it was a lovely sunny day and we were happy with this. We studied the menu and they all seemed to be full meals and neither of us felt like that so settled on the shared platter for $48. Eventually our drinks and our lunch arrived and I have to admit it was a bit of a disappointment. The platter consisted of a small bowl of basil pesto, about two (and I'm being generous) tablespoons of a salmon mixture which I am sure was tinned salmon mayonnaise and capers, a single gherkin cut in half, half a dozen olives, two slices of pancetta, salami and beef each, a small dollop of hummus, a small chunk of three different cheeses and two deep fried prawn things each which could have been from the frozen department in the supermarket...oh and some ciabatta bread. It was OK and to be fair filling but also we weren't hungry hungry to start with. I just don't think it was worth $48 and I don't think it was terribly exciting. The service was cursory and at times we felt ignored...would I go back? No there are a lot of other places in the area that I feel I will try. Oh and a word of advice...I don't smoke but my sister does and was advised to please move away from where we were sitting since the smoke was blowing into the marquee...that's fine no problem but don't put ashtrays there and when she asked for an ashtray it was pointed out to her.
