I have dinner at Hansan reasonably frequently, both at this branch and the one in Newmarket. The food arrives quickly, is satisftying and the service is pleasant. I would say service at Glenfield is better than Newmarket though. I will continue visiting Hansan whenever I feel the urge for some lemon grass chicken =) Login to vote x0 x0 | Add your feedback to this | Share on Facebook

We went here tonight for the first time and really enjoyed it. The restaurant was about 3/4 full when we arrived and we were one of two non-Asian tables in the restaurant (which I see as a good sign).
We have had Vietnamese several times before and the menu here was very extensive and this restaurant was significantly cleaner than many we have ventured into previously (in fact it was very clean).
We started with some Vietnamese fresh spring rolls and chicken satay skewers which were both good, although the spring rolls could have done with a little more mint.
For our main dishes we both had slightly different Beef with Vermicelli dishes which were good.
The food was very fast to arrive, well priced (all up for two people it cost us about $28) and we will happily return. Login to vote x0 x0 | Add your feedback to this | Share on Facebook

Our first visit to a Vietnamese Restaurant and really enjoyed it. The restaurant was busy on a Friday night and we were glad we had made a reservation, also we could take our own wine with a $5 corkage fee. The staff were friendly and overall we thought we had an excellent meal at very affrordable prices. We were not put off with the plastic plates and felt this was part of the dining experience - the green tea on arrival was a nice touch Login to vote x0 x0 | Add your feedback to this | Share on Facebook

Came here for a easy meal with the family after our movie. Loved the complimentary tea especially on such a freezing night. Service was excellent!! Very friendly and courteous and the only glitch was a bit of a communication problem while ordering - which was absolutely minor. Everyone really liked their dishes and left well satisfied.
Only problem was there was absolutely nothing vegetarian on the menu! After some inquiries our fantastic waiter said he could do veges on rice or noodles. I chose the veges with rice and that's exactly what it was: Plain white rice with cooked carrot, broccoli and cauliflower. To say it was bland is an understatement. No sauce or even salt and pepper.
It was very thoughtful and attentive of the waiter to ensure that nothing on my plate touched any meat and he also quickly removed the chicken stock soup another waitress had given me with my meal, but a bit of some (any!) sort of flavour would have been appreciated.
Great place for people that do actually eat meat though. Huge selection of dishes. All looking appetising. Also very affordable. And almost faultless service. Review Feedback by: juddge (12) 5th Oct 2009 If you do make it to Vietnam, you will be suprised at how little spice they actually use in their cooking. It is very plain mostly. I too am suprised that most of the Vietnamese restaurants here don't cater for vegetarians, since even on the streets of Ha Noi you can sit down and with little Viet get a beautiful tofu dish - there is a large Budhist contingent and they also observe meat-free 'holidays'!Login to vote x0 x0 | Add your feedback to this | Share on Facebook« There are reviews older than 18 months, click here to show them » Add your review to Hansan Vietnamese Restaurant2,823 views
