Went to this place with my wife during a trip to Raglan. We ordered drinks and the entree for starters. The bread entree finally arrived after an overdue amount of time. The baguette was cut into chunky slices and was stale and cold and contained little to no garlic flavour as stated. The peppers served on top were cold and limp. It was on the menu as bruschetta? Extremely dissappointing neddles to say I took it back, paid for the drinkls and left. Would not recommend this place to anyone. It did use to be a great place and the steak by the chef Paul van Weerden was excellent. Where have you gone to Paul?? Login to vote x0 x0 | Add your feedback to this | Share on Facebook

Lunched here on a weekday a few days ago.
Service was good - very friendly and accommodating with our toddler and baby asleep in the pram. Food was average, normal 'pub fare', although I have to say my thai beef salad was a very generous size with a decent amount of meat and the wedges were gi-normous, really good value for money.
The children's menu, as with most cafes and restaurants, was pretty disappointing with just three choices all of which were deep fried. It would be great if restaurants acknowledged children with a decent offering in children's menus... not all kids have such an unsophisticated palate that all they are interested in when they dine out is fish and chips/nuggets and chips and the like!!
Our lunch meal of two entree sized mains, wedges and 3 drinks came to $72 - somewhat excessive I thought considering the whole experience. There's nothing to really dislike about Marlin Case but, by the same token, there's nothing to rave about either. This is quite sad given the cool location, the lovely views and the staff who are a real asset to the place.
