Depending on your mood (and the weather of course!) you may choose to dine inside or out, from any one of our three dining areas.
Come and enjoy our "Main Cafe" where you will experience the vibrant atmosphere of our friendly staff and surroundings. Relax in the "Upstairs Dining" and "Bar Area", with views to amaze and delight adding to your Route 72 experience.
Our Award Winning Head Chef Terry Downes has a wealth of experience in the hospitality trade. Mainly training and then working in Sydney he is accustomed to diversity. Terry returned to New Zealand in 2002 to join the team at the Christchurch Club and then on to become Head Chef at the Gondola. The desire for a country lifestyle and the opportunity to birth a new café, "Route 72" is a new passion for Terry.
